Sails turn and tack into the wind, driving the mechanisms that move the figures and sculptures mounted on the wind vane.
"Laundry Daze" is a kinetic sculpture made from “upcycled” washers, dryers, refrigerators, and car parts. Paul is proud to have this whimsical creation included in the permanent collection of the Peace River Botanical Gardens and to be among internationally known artists.
The sculpture is 18 ft long x 7ft high x 6 ft deep.
This custom airplane kinetic directional windvane is fashioned from a discarded washing machine drum. The AA stands for Action Appliance and flies in front of their store in Port Charlotte, Florida.

The “swimming” Mermaid’s tail is driven by a single mechanism.
The intricate double mechanism highlights the scuba diver chasing the mermaid, the crabs “fighting”, and the dolphins “dancing”.
The extremely complex triple mechanism operates the shark’s tail and gaping mouth while it stealthily stalks the fleeing scuba diver.
Here's another example of a custom design for a Maryland crab lover.

Paul is a master welder with an irreverent sense of humor. These attributes led him to design his whimsical creations from ordinary items and tools rescued from the "recycle bin." His appreciation of all things metal, especially copper and brass, enables him to use these metals as his "medium". An avid sailor and aviation enthusiast, Paul is also captivated by the power of the wind.
Paul truly enjoys and is committed to his craft. If he can intrigue someone, make someone smile or even laugh, with his creations, that is all the inspiration he requires.
